To resolve the issue of no sound on your new Windows 11 computer, follow these steps:

    1. Check Connections: Ensure that your monitor is properly connected to your computer. If your monitor has built-in speakers, make sure the audio cable is connected from the computer to the monitor. This could be an HDMI or DisplayPort cable, as these can carry audio signals.
    2. Set Default Playback Device: Right-click on the speaker icon in the taskbar and select "Sounds". In the Playback tab, check if your monitor is listed as a playback device. If it is, right-click on it and select "Set as Default Device". If it’s not listed, try unplugging and replugging the audio cable.
    3. Update Audio Drivers: Sometimes, the issue can be related to outdated or missing audio drivers. You can check for updates by going to Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates. This may help install the necessary drivers for your audio devices.
    4. Troubleshoot Audio: You can also run the built-in audio troubleshooter. Go to Settings > System > Sound, and under the "Advanced" section, click on "Troubleshoot". This will help identify and fix any issues with your audio.
    5. Check for Windows Updates: Ensure your Windows 11 is up to date, as updates can include important fixes for audio issues.

If you follow these steps and still have issues, it may be helpful to consult your monitor's manual or the manufacturer's website for specific instructions on using the audio features.

    Hi ,

If it is a laptop or desktop, if possible, could you provide the laptop model or your desktop configuration?

To see the model, you can type msinfo32.exe in the Windows search bar, take screenshot post here.

    Thanks
