How can I be sure that an app is part of the license I'm currently paying for and not a "free trial" or something i will be billed for later. i want to use only apps that I know I have the rights to and that are not "watered down" during a trial.

    Hi G Lopez,

Thanks for reaching out. I understand how important it is to avoid trial apps and stick to what your license covers.

First, check your subscription in account.microsoft.com/services or, if you’re on a business plan, in the Admin Center under Billing → Your products. This shows exactly what apps are included.

Second, confirm activation in the app itself. Open any Office app, go to File → Account, and look for “Microsoft 365 Subscription” and “Product Activated.” If you see “Trial” or an expiration date, it’s not part of your paid plan.

Third, if you use add-ons or custom apps, Microsoft’s APIs like GetAppLicenseAsync() can tell you if something is a trial and when it expires.

Last, for extra peace of mind, community tools like m365maps.com give a clear visual of which apps belong to each Microsoft 365 plan. And if you manage licenses for others, Azure AD or Entra audit logs can help track changes.

I hope you find this information helpful. Please let me know if you have any further questions If the answer is helpful, please click "Accept Answer".

    Regards,

    Carlo
