To address the issue of vertical lines appearing on your built-in camera, you can try the following troubleshooting steps:

    1. Check Camera Settings: Go to the camera settings page in Windows. You can access this by searching for Settings in Windows, then navigating to Bluetooth & devices > Cameras. From there, select your integrated camera and check the settings.
    2. Troubleshoot the Camera: On the camera settings page, select your camera and then choose the Troubleshoot option. This will guide you through an interactive troubleshooting process to identify and fix issues.
    3. Adjust Basic Image Settings: If your camera settings allow, try adjusting the basic image settings such as brightness and contrast to see if that resolves the vertical lines issue.
    4. Update Drivers: Ensure that your camera drivers are up to date. You can do this through Device Manager by right-clicking on your camera and selecting Update driver.
    5. Restart the Computer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve hardware issues.

If the problem persists after trying these steps, it may be a hardware issue with the camera itself.

    Hello,

    Thanks for reaching out.

I'm really sorry about the problem you're having. If the steps that were suggested didn't work and the problem keeps happening, those vertical lines usually mean there's a hardware problem, like a loose internal ribbon cable between the camera and the motherboard or a failing camera sensor. You can gently adjust the laptop lid to see if the lines change, which helps confirm a cable issue. If nothing changes, the laptop probably needs to be repaired or replaced by a professional, so the safest thing to do is contact the manufacturer or a certified technician, especially if the device is still under warranty.
