Take a test - profile remove

Hi,

At our school, we deployed a "Take a Test" profile using Deploy Intune for Education. After it was no longer needed, I deleted the profile from Intune. However, it is still showing on the PC. When you click on it, it only opens the welcome page with an endless spinning circle.

How can we completely remove this profile from the PC?

Since the deployment, we also cannot see local users on the welcome screen anymore (the option Enumerate local users does not seem to work).

Thank you.

To completely remove the "Take a Test" profile from the PC after it has been deleted from Intune, you may need to perform a few additional steps. Here are some suggestions:

    1. Device Sync: Ensure that the device is synced with Intune after the profile deletion. This can be done by going to Settings > Accounts > Access work or school and selecting the account associated with Intune, then clicking on Sync.
    2. Retire and Re-enroll: If the profile still appears after syncing, you might need to retire the device from Intune and then re-enroll it. This can help in clearing any residual settings associated with the deleted profile.
    3. Local User Enumeration: Regarding the local users not appearing on the welcome screen, ensure that the setting for Enumerate local users is correctly configured in Intune. If it is set to allow local users and still does not show, a device reset might be necessary to restore the welcome screen functionality.
    4. Check for Updates: Ensure that the device is updated to the latest version of Windows, as updates can sometimes resolve lingering issues with profiles and settings.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, consider reaching out to Microsoft support for further assistance.
