I am trying to remove an attachment in a received mail in new Outlook. Impossible! The only solution is to go back to classic Outlook. Am I missing something?

Thanks for sharing the details, Pierre! Try to use Outlook on the Web (OWA), it can remove attachments

Even though New Outlook for Windows cannot remove attachments, Outlook on the Web still supports removing attachments from received emails.

    How to do it

    • Go to https://outlook.office.com (work/school) or https://outlook.com (personal).
    • Open the email containing the attachment.
    • Click the attachment.
    • Choose Remove or Delete attachment (the option depends on account type).
    • Click Save or Save changes.

This updates the email directly on the server, the attachment will also disappear in New Outlook when it syncs.

See if this helps. If you need further assistance just let me know.

    Best regards,

    Kimberly
