How do I regain access to an outlook email account I have lost the password for?

Hello!

I have lost the password for my outlook account. I know the email address, the name associated with the email, an email address that has been sending me emails, and the subject lines of the last 10+ emails I have sent from that email address. I also have a pretty good idea of what the birthdate it, and what the country and state associated with the account setup was. I have entered all of this information into https://account.live.com/acsr, but it keeps emailing me to tell me that the information wasn’t sufficient. This email is tied to multiple other accounts I have and is affecting them adversely. I’m having trouble logging into them.

How do I fix this? It seems like it just won’t accept the information I enter even though it’s correct and I have screenshots of when I was able to access the account to prove some of the information (e.g., who was emailing me, my username initials for the email address, and subjects of my past emails).

Any help is appreciated! This is affecting all my other accounts tied to this email.

    Dear Mishka Biscuit

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A Community. I understand how stressful and frustrating it can be to lose access to an account that is linked to multiple services. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

Since you have already tried the Account Recovery form and the information was not sufficient, please note that as a forum moderator I cannot manually recover or access accounts. The only way to regain access now is through direct assistance from Microsoft Support, where the team can escalate your case and help you recover your account.

    Please follow these steps:

    1. Go to Contact - Microsoft Support
    2. In the search box, type Contact support and click Get Help.
    3. Select Contact Support.
    4. Under Products & Services, choose Outlook.com.
    5. On the category tab, select Cannot sign in.
    6. Confirm your details and choose to chat with a support representative or request a callback.
      • If chat or callback is unavailable, try again later as support hours vary.
      • Provide all relevant details: your email address, previous case numbers, and any proof you have (screenshots, recent email subjects, associated services).

We know this situation can feel overwhelming, but contacting Microsoft Support directly is the fastest and most effective way to resolve this and regain access to your account. Please try the steps above and update us on your progress. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
