Alright, look.

My old account got deleted maybe 2 days ago (Or it's on its way for deletion) I've had the account for YEARS. Probably a decade and five years. It was linked to my email for outlook and Xbox. It got hacked about a month ago. 11/22/25 and as recently as two days ago I checked to make sure the recovery was going smoothly. It was. Today when I tried to log on, the account got deleted. The hacker might have triggered it.

I tried to use the https://account.live.com/acsr account recovery, but it NO LONGER exists apparently and it was nearly ready to be redone and reacquired (At 12/22/25 it was going to be ready to reaquire) But I think the hacker might have deleted it out of spite and I'm wondering if I can have someone from Microsoft bypass it or just give me the news straight.

    Dear Jazz,

Thanks for reporting this issue in Microsoft Q&A forum.

I fully stand on your shoes when knowing that you are facing a situation where your long-standing account appears to have been deleted or compromised after a recent hacking incident, and I understand your feeling of urgency to recover it.

Since the account may be completely deleted, or the primary email alias has been removed by the hacker, the automated account recovery form will not work because the system cannot recognize the account in the initial recovery steps.

Please be aware that once a Microsoft account is completely deleted, or the primary alias is removed and replaced by a hacker, there is an extremely small chance to successfully regain access. However, live chat support is the only final step that can confirm the exact status and see if any recovery is possible on their security tools.

Please follow these steps to reach the live support team:

    1. Visit the Microsoft Support contact page: Contact - Microsoft Support
    2. In the search bar provided on the page, type "Account Recovery" and press Enter.
    3. Click the "Get Help" button that appears.
    4. Scroll down the page until you see and click on the "Contact Support" option.
    5. When prompted to select your product or service, choose "Other Products."
    6. For the category, choose "Manage Account Security."
    7. Find and click "Chat with a support agent in your web browser."
    8. When prompted, please provide a valid contact email where Microsoft can contact you regarding your case.
    9. Explain your situation clearly: Be concise but provide all the relevant details.

Your patience and cooperation are highly appreciated. Please feel free to let me know if you have any further updates, thank you.
