Unlink Facebook email notifications from Live email

I have an old Outlook email (now Live email), and it was linked to Facebook. I get a ton of emails about friends' birthdays. I don't see the unlink for Facebook. I don't recall if it is the link in Outlook or the Xbox account.

I have checked my profile. It does not show any link other than my Gmail Email. Below is a screenshot of the email I get weekly about my friends on Facebook.

Any help with this will be great.

    Dear Wa Vang,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum. I understand you're receiving Facebook birthday reminder emails to your Outlook.com address and want to stop them, and I see how this could be frustrating.

Based on your description, the issue is likely related to an old connection between your Microsoft account and Facebook that was set up some time ago. Since you don't see this link in your Microsoft account profile anymore, the connection needs to be removed from Facebook's side. Outlook is simply receiving the emails that Facebook is sending.

Here are the steps you should take to manage these notifications directly from Facebook:

    1. Log into Facebook: Go to the Facebook website and log into your account.
    2. Access Settings & Privacy: Click on your profile picture in the top right corner, then select Settings & privacy, and then click Settings.
    3. Navigate to Notifications: In the left menu, click Notifications.
    4. Find Email Settings: Within Notification Settings, look for "Where you receive notifications". You may need to click Email to access the specific email notification controls.
    5. Review and Disable: In the email settings, look for a category related to Birthdays. You should find a toggle or setting there to disable emails for birthday reminders.
    6. Check "Apps and Websites": Even after adjusting notifications, the underlying link might persist.
      • Go back to Settings.
      • In the left menu, click Apps and Websites. This shows all the services connected to your Facebook account.
      • Look for any entry related to Microsoft, Outlook, Live, or Xbox. If you find one, select it and click Remove or Unlink.

Important Note: If you no longer use or have access to the Facebook account that is linked to your Outlook.com email, you may need to use Facebook's "Forgot Password" tool to regain access, or you can directly mark these emails as Junk/Spam within Outlook.com. This will train the filter to send future similar messages to your Junk folder automatically.

Managing these settings directly on Facebook should stop the emails at their source. Please try these steps and let me know if you are able to locate and disable the notification or remove the app connection.
