When I add text to a PDF file, it grows from 200kb to over 37mb. Never had this happen before. What do I do? I'm only adding text, no graphics or photos.

When I add text to an existing file, it grows from 125kb to over 37MB. Never had this happen before. I'm not adding graphics or photos. When I tried on my backup computer, it worked perfectly. The file was under 200kb. How do I fix this?

Hi, thanks for sharing this. Large jumps in PDF size usually point to how the editor saves the file. What app are you using to add text?

The supported fix is to save a fresh copy using the app’s standard PDF export, then use the Microsoft Print to PDF option to regenerate a smaller file. This produces a clean version and avoids unnecessary embedded data, which follows guidance from the official Windows support pages.
