To address a banned Xbox account, especially one that has been inactive for a long time, you may need to follow these steps:

    1. Visit the Xbox Support Website: Start by going to the official Xbox support page. Look for options related to account issues or bans.
    2. Use the Account Recovery Options: If you cannot access your account, use the account recovery options provided on the Xbox website. This may include verifying your identity or recovering your account through your email or phone number.
    3. Contact Xbox Support: If you are unable to resolve the issue through the website, try reaching out to Xbox Support directly. You can do this via chat or by requesting a call back. Be prepared to provide details about your account and the situation.
    4. Explain the Situation: When you get in touch with support, clearly explain that the ban occurred due to child misconduct and that you are the adult trying to resolve the issue. Mention that it has been 10 years since the ban.
    5. Request a Review: Ask if there is a possibility to review the ban on your account given the time that has passed and your current status as the account owner.

If you continue to face challenges in reaching customer service, consider using social media platforms where Xbox has a presence, as they sometimes respond to inquiries made there.

    Dear Alanna Riggio,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A forum and posting your account access issue here on the Outlook forum.

I realize that you've encountered a problem with accessing and reviewing a banned Xbox account, and I understand how frustrating it is when you can't open a case or reach the right customer service team for an account issue, especially one that is 10 years old.

While Microsoft Q&A is primarily intended for technical questions and troubleshooting, since your issue is related to an Xbox account ban/review and Xbox Live, you will need to connect directly with the specialized Xbox Enforcement/Account Support team, as they handle ban appeals and account access issues.

Follow these steps to connect directly with Xbox Support.

1, Visit the official Xbox Support contact page: Contact us | Xbox Support

2, Click on the main green button labeled "Contact Us"

User's image 3, In the rear pop-up window:

    • Locate the first required field (What are you having trouble with?) and select "Account & Profile"
    • Locate the second required field (What's the issue?) and select "I need a Microsoft account"
    • Locate the third required field (Describe your issue) and type "Account recovery"
    • Click the "Next" button.

4, Choose the contact method: Under "Other options", select "Chat with us". This connects you directly to a live Xbox Support agent.

We appreciate you spending your time working on this issue. I hope the direct contact information helps you reach the right team to resolve the account review process.
