Authenticator app no longer connected with log in

hi there,

I add previously connected my authenticator app to log into an important account on a website, however it seems to have disconnected from this and I now cannot log in. When I go to log in on the website, it asks for a 2 factor authentication with code from my authenticator app, however this then doesn't appear on my app.

I have tried sorting this out via the website help but they have recommended contacting Microsoft to fix it from the app end.

Please help! I really need to log into it.
