Hello,

I need help with my daughter’s Microsoft account. Her email is:

remove PII @outlook.com

The account is added under my Microsoft Family, and I can edit all her information from my side. However, the email itself is not receiving any messages at all, and it looks like the mailbox is not activated.

When she tries to sign in, the system asks for verification. After entering the last four digits of the registered phone number, it asks for another method that is not available, so she is locked out completely.

This email is used only for an official learning platform (Digital Egypt – Egypt Government). It was inactive for a short period because the study program was paused, and now we are waiting for an important message to continue her course, but the account is blocked.

The account clearly exists because the platform has sent emails to this address recently, but we cannot access them.

Is it possible for the Outlook mailbox to be blocked because of a child restriction?

And can you help me activate the mailbox or unlock the account from your side?

My parent/guardian email linked to the Family group is: remove PII @icloud.com

I appreciate any help to restore access because the account is required urgently for her education.

It seems that your daughter's Microsoft account is experiencing issues with receiving verification emails and activating the mailbox. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:

    1. Check Account Status: Ensure that the account is not blocked or compromised. If it is, you may need to follow the steps for recovering a compromised account.
    2. Verify Email Settings: Check if there are any filters or rules set up in the mailbox that might be preventing emails from being received. This includes checking for any rules that might automatically delete or move incoming messages.
    3. Password Reset: If the account is locked, you can attempt to reset the password. This can sometimes resolve issues related to account access.
    4. Contact Support: Since this is a child account under your Microsoft Family, you may need to contact Microsoft support directly for assistance with unlocking the account or activating the mailbox. They can provide specific guidance based on the account's status.
    5. Check for Restrictions: Child accounts may have certain restrictions that could affect their ability to receive emails or access certain features. You can review the family safety settings to ensure that everything is configured correctly.

Unfortunately, I cannot unlock the account or activate the mailbox from my side, but following these steps should help you regain access.

I’m following up regarding my daughter’s Microsoft account, which is still unable to receive any verification or activation emails. The account is part of my Microsoft Family group, and I can manage her settings normally, but the mailbox itself is not active and no incoming emails are being received at all.

I have already checked the following:

The account is not blocked and shows no security issues.

No rules or filters are set that could move or delete emails.

Password was reset successfully but the problem persists.

Family safety settings are correctly configured.

Despite all of this, the mailbox is still not functioning and cannot receive any messages.

I kindly ask for your assistance in activating the mailbox or unlocking whatever is preventing incoming emails. This issue is urgent as my daughter needs the account for school access.

    Thank you for your support.

    Best regards, Hazem
