Hi Giuseppe,
Thanks for reaching out. I understand how frustrating it can be when your Windows 11 installation gets stuck at the Checking for updates screen, especially when you’re eager to set up your new PC.
This usually happens due to network interruptions or update service conflicts, but there are practical steps to resolve it.
First, try switching from Wi-Fi to a wired Ethernet connection if possible. A stable connection often helps the installer move past that stage.
Second, if it remains stuck, restart the Windows Update and Windows Installer services. You can do this by pressing Ctrl + Shift + Esc, going to the Services tab, and restarting both services. This refreshes the update process without restarting the entire setup.
Third, disconnect from the internet and continue the installation offline. When prompted about downloading updates, select “Not right now.” This bypasses the update check and lets you complete the installation. Afterward, you can reconnect and update through Settings → Windows Update.
Last, if the issue persists, use the ISO method. Download the official Windows 11 ISO from Microsoft, mount it, and run Setup.exe. This approach avoids dynamic updates during installation and is recommended by many users and Microsoft advisors.
