App Insights Profiler time out with Azure Functions

I have App Insights running as well as a set of Azure Functions. I am trying to use the profiler performance feature in App Insights but am getting a timeout issue after waiting approx 30 minutes after manually triggering the profiler with the Profile Now button.
The functions are running on an EP1 App Service Plan and I have configured the environment variables that the doc says are required. Other data about the function (number of requests, response time etc.) are coming through.
How can I get the profiler feature working?

- APPINSIGHTS_PROFILERFEATURE_VERSION: Set this to 1.0.0.
- DiagnosticServices_EXTENSION_VERSION: Set this to ~3. You can verify these settings from your Functions app overview page in the Azure portal.
- Make sure you have added the necessary application settings for the profiler:
- Ensure Traffic to Functions:
- Since the profiler collects performance data only when there is active traffic, ensure your Azure Functions are handling active requests when you trigger the profiler.
- You can generate some test traffic to see if that helps in getting the profiler to work properly.
- Confirm .NET Runtime:
- Based on your comment, you’re using .NET 8 Isolated. Ensure that your Azure Functions are compatible with the profiler settings for your runtime and double-check that the .NET runtime version is indeed supported.
