Refund of a Minecraft Gift subscription

Hi there.

I have been going round in circles with AI chat bots and calls that are also AI. I saw a fellow post of someone just wanting to speak to a human, so i'm hoping this will return the same result. I purchased a Minecraft gift for someone who was sitting in the same room as me and watched as they received the email, did NOT use the gift code, boot up an old account of Minecraft when the realised that they actually had the game. this purchase was 49.95NZD and I would appreciate a refund as i'm writing this within the 14 week time period that refunds can be requested on gift subscriptions.

There is no option to select refund on my Microsoft Account Orders page,
There is no option to select refund on Xbox.com/refunds page.

I rang twice now and have been denied speaking to a human person.
I've started up a help chat in the wrong support area just to try and speak to someone, who then closed the chat after they told the would get me some help. At the end of the day its not really about the money its about the principal.

I'm happy to be proven wrong that the person who opened that email somehow accidentally used that code, but considering I was sitting right next to them at the time, I would wager not. But even still, to have the option to check if that code has been redeemed or not would be loooovely. and if you can check that, then it can be verified that it wasn't used and then I can have my money back.
