Account Takeover Recovery

Hello all, I need urgent help recovering my Microsoft account. My account was fully taken over by an unauthorized person. They removed my original email and replaced it with a different email address that does not belong to me.

Because of this change, I can no longer sign in or verify ownership every time I try to log in, the system wants to send a verification code to the hacker’s email address instead of mine.

At the moment, the system says my account “does not exist,” but I can still see the profile picture and saved account data on my device. This confirms the account still exists but the primary alias has been replaced.

I am unable to use standard recovery methods because the verification always goes to the hacker’s email. I respectfully request manual assistance to:

  1. Restore my original login email
  2. Remove the unauthorized alias
  3. Return control of the account to me

I can provide any additional details needed past device usage, purchase history, dates, or security info to help confirm that I am the original owner.

Thank you for your help.

If your Microsoft account has been compromised and the recovery methods are not working due to the unauthorized change of your primary email address, you will need to follow the identity verification processes to regain access. Unfortunately, Microsoft does not provide manual assistance directly for account recovery, but you can initiate recovery through the standard support channels. Here are the steps you can take:

    1. Visit the Microsoft Account Recovery Page: Go to the Microsoft account recovery page and select the option that indicates you cannot access your account.
    2. Provide Your Information: You will need to provide as much information as possible about your account to help verify your identity. This may include past device usage, purchase history, and any security information you can recall.
    3. Follow the Prompts: The system will guide you through the recovery process. If you are unable to receive verification codes due to the hacker's email, you may need to indicate this in your recovery request.
    4. Contact Microsoft Support: If the automated recovery process fails, you can contact Microsoft support directly for further assistance. They may require you to verify your identity through other means.

It’s crucial to act quickly to prevent further unauthorized access to your account. Make sure to also secure any other accounts that may use the same credentials or recovery information.
