  1. I have recieved an email from Microsoft telling me I am able to switch back to Office 365 Personal Classic($12/month) from Office 365 Personal($17/month) as microsoft made a mistake in 2024 as stated in the email from Microsoft, The email also said I would be refunded the over paid amount for the year if I switch back to office 365 Personal Classic by 31 December.
  2. I followed the link in the email to switch back to 365 Personal Classic and upon payment to transition back to 365 Personal Classic an error code pops up at the bottom of the page and I am unable to switch. I attempted to resolve the issue myself by canceling the current Office 365 Personal($17/month) plan I was forced to switch to by Microsoft in 2024, Then manually change to my old plan Office 365 Personal Classic($12/month) but for some odd reason the plan microsoft told me i could switch back to was not an option under Manage my subscriptions and also wasnt a Subscription option availible on the Microsoft webpage.
  3. My question is where is my refund and how can I change back to my old subscription if... 1 - The link provided in the email recieved from Microsoft doesnt allow me to pay for and switch back to my old plan. 2 - Microsoft does not display office 365 personal classic as a subscription option in Manage my Subcriptions or on the Microsoft website.

Additionally I would like to comment I have zero use for copilot and I dont want the extra features that come with the more expensive plan it is just for personal use so all the extra features are really a waste of money and some are actually annoying always popping up when using Microsoft apps.

Im sure I am not the only consumer with this view your New Zealand consumers would be extremely delighted with a basic $12 plan with no fluff. I dont even care about the refund I just want my simple plan back. Id also like to add, the email I received from Microsoft specifically stated this was a mistake made with New Zealand Subcribers so it has nothing to do with plan avalibility in my country.

Please fix this Microsoft or advise me how i can correct this myself.

    Hello Zoe Curtis,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum

If the Office 365 Personal Classic plan isn’t appearing in your subscriptions or on the Microsoft website, it may be because your account type or eligibility doesn’t support that plan.

I suggest contacting Microsoft support for assistance, they can help you to make sure your account is set up properly for Office Personal Classic plan. Here is how to contact them.

    1. Open a website link - Contact - Microsoft Support
    2. In the box below "We're here to help", type Microsoft 365, click "Get Help", and then click "Contact Support" below.
    3. In this section, you will need to sign in to your Microsoft account.
    4. Select "Microsoft 365 and Office" under Products & Services, select "Manage my Subscription" as the category, and click to confirm
    5. You can select " Chat with a support agent in your web browser " to access the chat window.
