Developer mode seems to be missing in classic Outlook

My laptop[ died so I'm reinstalling to a new one.

I have scripts that I run in Outlook, so I tried to edit them. No developer mode tab is available for the ribbon any more. (I move deleted Contacts to a new folder, as they get lost in the hundreds of emails I delete daily-lost too many Contacts)

I developer mode no longer supported?

I use scripts and PST files so new Outlook is unusable.

    Hi @Rickhantz,

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A, and thank you very much for reaching out to us.

Based on your description, I tested this on my side. When I enable the Developer tab by navigating to File > Options > Customize Ribbon and selecting Developer, the tab appears as expected:

I also researched this further and found no information indicating that Microsoft has stopped supporting or remove Developer Mode in Classic Outlook.

To assist you further, could you please share a screenshot of your Customize Ribbon window and your Outlook interface via a private message?

In the meantime, I suggest you creating a new Outlook profile, as this often resolves UI rendering issues or missing ribbon elements:
Press Windows + R and type: Outlook.exe /profiles, press Enter.

When the Choose Profile dialog appears, select Options, then click New.

Enter a name for the new profile and follow the prompts to add your email account.

I hope this helps, looking forward to your response.
