    Hi Sam Jamael,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum. I’m truly sorry to hear about the current issue with your Surface Pro. I understand how stressful this situation can be and want to try my best to help you secure your device and protect your data.

If you have set up and enabled Find My Device before, you can lock your Surface Pro remotely by signing in to https://account.microsoft.com/devices, selecting your Surface Pro, and choosing Lock. This will prevent unauthorized access and allow you to display a message on the lock screen. Please note that the device must be powered on, connected to the internet, and have location services enabled for this to work.

Unfortunately, if Find My Device wasn’t enabled beforehand, remote locking wouldn’t be available. In this case, I highly recommend changing your Microsoft account password immediately to safeguard your personal data. Additionally, please contact your local police department to report the theft and provide them with any available details, such as the device’s serial number and last known location so they can use this information to assist in recovery efforts.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Best regards.

You can lock your stolen Surface Pro 7 remotely using Microsoft Intune if it is enrolled in the service. Here are the steps to lock your device:

    1. Sign in to the Company Portal website with your work or school account.
    2. Go to Devices.
    3. Select your Surface Pro 7 from the list of devices.
    4. Click on Remote lock. If the option isn't visible, check the More (…) menu for additional actions.
    5. Confirm the action to lock your device.

Once locked, the device will remain inaccessible until the correct passcode is entered to unlock it. If you encounter any issues, such as a failed lock attempt, wait a few minutes and try again or contact your support person for assistance.
