I have been locked out of my email due to malicious activity, i.e my account being hacked since #rd December. I have tried to regain access to it without luck. I have tried multiple times to reset the password, yet it just remains blocked since it needs verification after login with a new password.

I get to the verification window which needs SMS verification, but I will not allow it to send a code via SMS

This is the error I get 'Try another verification method

That verification method isn't working right now. Please try another method."

I keep going round and round in circles without success. My email address ******@hotmail.com is very important to me.

I would like a solution for this Thankyou

Your Hotmail account is locked because Microsoft flagged suspicious activity and requires identity verification. If SMS verification isn’t working and no backup method is available, you’re stuck in a loop because the system can’t confirm your identity.

    What I suggest is:

Use the Microsoft Account Recovery Form at https://account.live.com/acsr and provide as much accurate info as possible (recent email subjects, folder names, billing details if applicable).

If recovery fails, contact Microsoft Support for escalation via https://support.microsoft.com.

Once access is restored, add multiple recovery options (backup email, phone number, Authenticator app) to avoid this in the future.

    Happy to help!
