You can try the steps below to troubleshoot the issue:
Option 1: Reset Microsoft Store cache
- Press Windows + R, type wsreset.exe, and press Enter
- Wait for the process to complete and restart your PC.
Option 2: Reinstall Gaming Services
- Open PowerShell and select Run as administrator.
- Run the following command to completely remove any remnants:
get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers - Then reinstall it using:
start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN - This command will open the Gaming Services page in Microsoft Store — click Install if prompted, then restart your PC.
Option 3: Reset the Xbox app
- Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps, find Xbox, click the three dots and select Advanced options, scroll down and choose Reset.
