Hi,

Have bought a 365 Family subscription and now want to add the family´s email accounts. In one of them the storage is full so they cannot via that account answer the mail to accept to share.

The reason I bougt the Family alternative in the first place is just to not having to delete all the stored info on that account (a hotmail account). Have tried the Swedish support but they told me I have to contact you as all the usual roads have not led anywhere...

Thank You!

To add a family member's account to your Microsoft 365 Family subscription, the family member must accept the invitation sent to their email. However, if their email account is full and they cannot accept the invitation, they will need to free up some space in their mailbox to receive and respond to the invitation. Here are a few steps they can take:

    1. Delete Unnecessary Emails: Encourage them to delete any emails that are no longer needed, especially those with large attachments.
    2. Empty the Deleted Items Folder: After deleting emails, they should also empty the Deleted Items folder to permanently remove them and free up space.
    3. Archive Old Emails: If they want to keep certain emails but not have them in the inbox, they can archive them to another folder.
    4. Check for Large Attachments: They can search for emails with large attachments and decide if they can delete or save those attachments elsewhere.

Once they have freed up enough space, they should be able to receive the invitation and accept it to join your family subscription.

If they continue to experience issues, they may need to contact Microsoft support for further assistance.

So there is no other way to answer that you want to share than from the blocked email? I e a link which could be used, surpassing the blocked emailadress? Catch 22 situation!

    Hi,

Your family member’s Hotmail account must accept the Microsoft 365 Family invite before the extra storage applies. If their mailbox is full, they can’t receive the email, so the quickest fix is to use the invitation link (shared via SMS or another email) or clear a little space so they can join. Once accepted, the account gets 50 GB mailbox storage and 1 TB OneDrive.

Let me know how it goes, I'm Here to help!
