Hello,

I’m trying to create a new Azure account, but I keep running into an error when entering my debit card information.

I have tried with all my cards, but I always get the same error message:

“We can’t validate the credit card information you provided. Please verify the information and try again. If the problem continues, try a different card or contact your card issuer.”

I have double-checked that all the information is correct. Is there anyway to solve this issue? Or you just simpily don't support Mastercard debit card? Do I have to rush to the bank and open a credit card account?

I'm looking foward for your soon reply.

Hey WIND! I'm glad to hear your problem has been solved, but just for completeness, I'll outline how you might resolve similar issues in the future for anyone else reading this!

When you're trying to create a new Azure account and encounter the error message, “We can’t validate the credit card information you provided,” here are some steps to troubleshoot:

    1. Double-Check Information: Ensure that the name, billing address, and CVV you enter match exactly what is printed on your card.
    2. Card Type Support: Verify if your card type (like Mastercard debit) is supported in your region. Generally, credit and debit cards from Visa and Mastercard are supported, but some regions may have restrictions.
    3. Prepaid Cards: Virtual or prepaid cards are not accepted for Azure subscriptions. Make sure you're using a standard debit or credit card.
    4. International Transactions: If you are using a card issued outside of your current country, check with your issuer to ensure that international transactions are enabled.
    5. Browser Settings: Sometimes browser cookies can interfere with sign-up processes. Make sure to allow third-party cookies or try using a different browser or Incognito mode for the sign-up process.
    6. Existing Accounts: Check if you already have another Microsoft account with the same information, as that can lead to issues during sign-up.
    7. Contacting Support: If you keep facing the same issue after trying the above steps, you might need to contact your card issuer to ensure there are no holds on your card that are preventing validation.

I hope this overview helps anyone facing similar issues!
