How to invite child back to a family group after removal?

I've occasionally removed my child from a family group.

Then I've added him back. Invitation got sent. When he follows the invitation link, he enters his credentials. Then he is asked for a parent consent. I enter my details, but it says "this account cannot give parental consent".

So this seems like infinite loop, basically my child has lost access to his account, he has purchases there, etc.

What can be done to overcome this issue?

To resolve the issue of inviting your child back to a family group after removal, you may need to ensure that you are following the correct process for granting parental consent. Here are some steps you can take:

    1. Check Your Account Type: Ensure that the account you are using to provide parental consent is indeed a parent account. Only accounts that are designated as parent accounts can grant consent.
    2. Re-invite the Child: If you haven't already, try removing the child from the family group again and then re-invite them. Make sure to follow the invitation link in an incognito or private browsing window to avoid any cached credentials.
    3. Clear Cache and Cookies: Sometimes, browser cache can cause issues. Clear your browser's cache and cookies before attempting to accept the invitation again.
    4. Use a Different Browser or Device: If the issue persists, try using a different web browser or device to accept the invitation and provide consent.
    5. Contact Support: If none of the above steps work, consider reaching out to Microsoft support for assistance. They may be able to help you troubleshoot the issue further and restore access to your child's account.

By ensuring that you are using the correct account and following the proper procedures, you should be able to overcome the parental consent issue and regain access to your child's account.

Hi SERGEY TRUKHTANAU, I understand how frustrating that must feel. It sounds like you’ve been putting in effort to resolve this and running into that loop can be really stressful.

To fix the parental consent loop make sure you’re using the original adult account that gave consent and verify its age clear cached sessions by signing out and using a private window correct the childs birthdate or submit proof if needed reinvite the child from the verified adult account and if the original adult isnt available create a temporary adult account to grant consent.

When you try to reinvite your child are you using the same adult account that originally gave consent and have you checked if that account birthdate is verified as an adult in Microsoft profile settings?

    Best regards
