I need to set up my Outlook account on my Google Pixel 9.0 phone

My Outlook stopped working on my Google Pixel 9 phone. In the past, I've just reset it up and it worked. This time, somehow, I still have my email address in there and I can't delete it so I can start from scratch. I have restarted my phone and have uninstalled Outlook and reinstalled. I have also reset my Microsoft password. It starts out like I'm new to Outlook, but my email id is in there and I can check or uncheck it. I'd like to get rid of it so I can start fresh. I can set it up fine on my laptop, just not the phone.

To set up your Outlook account on your Google Pixel 9.0 phone and resolve the issue of not being able to delete your email address, you can follow these steps:

    1. Uninstall Outlook: Since you've already uninstalled and reinstalled the app, ensure that it is completely removed from your device.
    2. Clear App Data: Go to your phone's Settings > Apps > Outlook. Tap on Storage and then select Clear Data. This will remove any cached data and settings associated with the app.
    3. Reinstall Outlook: After clearing the data, reinstall the Outlook app from the Google Play Store.
    4. Open Outlook: Launch the Outlook app. It should prompt you to set up a new account.
    5. Add Your Email: Enter your email address and follow the prompts to complete the setup.

If you still encounter issues with the email address appearing, ensure that your device is not syncing with any other email accounts that may have the same email address saved. You can also check your device's account settings under Settings > Accounts to see if the email account is listed there and remove it if necessary.

If the problem persists, consider checking for any updates to the Outlook app or your device's operating system, as updates can sometimes resolve compatibility issues.

    Hello,

If you're on an android phone you might want to go into settings>accounts, your old outlook account might still be saved there with old information, make sure to delete the saved account, then login again so it gets updated.

    Hope this helps,

    JC
