    Hello SMS45,

Thank you for reaching out in Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand you’re seeing the Phone Link verification notification on one device without the Copy button, while another device shows it correctly.

The missing Copy button usually happens when the Phone Link app or Windows components are outdated, or when notifications permissions differ between devices.

    Here’s how to fix this:

    1. Update Phone Link and Windows
      • Open Microsoft Store → select Library → click Update all to ensure Phone Link is up to date.
      • Go to Settings > Windows Update → check for updates and install any pending updates.
    2. Check Notification Settings
      • On the device missing the button, go to Settings > System > Notifications → ensure Phone Link notifications are enabled.
      • Verify that interactive notifications are allowed (toggle on if available).
    3. Reset Phone Link App
      • Navigate to Settings > Apps > Installed apps → find Phone Link → select Advanced options → click Reset.
    4. Reconnect Devices
      • Unlink the PC from your phone in Phone Link settings.
      • Restart both devices.
      • Re-pair using the QR code or sign-in process in Phone Link.

If the issue persists after these steps, updating to the latest Windows version usually resolves it.

Let me know how it goes.

I understand the confusion caused by the missing copy button. This is often due to version differences in the Phone Link app or Windows. The copy button is a newer feature, so it won't appear on devices with older software. Please ensure both notebooks have the newest Windows updates and Phone Link version from the Microsoft Store. Then, restart the app and sign in again. If the button remains absent, verify that both devices use the same region and language settings and are linked to the same phone and account.

The issue with the missing copy button for Phone Link verification code notifications in OneNote may be related to the integration settings or the version of OneNote you are using. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

    1. Check OneNote Integration: Ensure that the OneNote integration is properly installed and enabled in your Outlook settings. You may need to follow the steps to enable the OneNote add-in in Outlook, as outlined in the context.
    2. Update OneNote: Make sure that you are using the latest version of OneNote. Sometimes, features may not appear if the software is outdated.
    3. Check Settings: Look into the settings of the OneNote app to see if there are any options related to notifications or the display of buttons that may need to be enabled.
    4. Reinstall OneNote: If the problem persists, consider reinstalling OneNote to ensure that all components are correctly installed.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may want to consult Microsoft support or the OneNote community for further assistance.
