I have Microsoft 365 and I initially subscribed in the UK. I have now moved to Europe and would like to change the currency to Euro as I earn Euros and need to cancel my UK account.

You cannot change the currency for your Microsoft 365 subscription directly. The currency is tied to the country/region where your organization is headquartered. If you have moved to a new country and want to use a different currency, you will need to sign up for a new Microsoft 365 account in the desired country/region and purchase a new subscription there. This means you will have to cancel your existing UK account first.

It's important to note that changing your organization's country/region is not possible without creating a new account.

Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

Microsoft Q&A is public, and we can only provide information. It is beyond our capability to assist directly with billing-related concerns.

Do you currently have an active Microsoft 365 subscription linked to this account?

Microsoft 365 subscription is tied to the country and currency where it was originally purchased. Because of that, the system won’t let you extend the subscription or set up auto-billing using a payment method from your new country.

What you can do instead is cancel your current subscription and wait for it to expire (or you can cancel it early if possible). Once it’s fully expired, you can purchase a new Microsoft 365 subscription using your correct country and billing information.

I really hope this information is helpful! Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

    Regards,

    John J.D.
