Skip the navegation part on the left on SP on premise

Hi!

So i was thinking in getting out the part on the left in the sp site:

All of that it's linked in the site so would need that, could I get rid off it?

In this context, you can try the following approach to see if you can hide the navigation pane in an On-premises environment.

Initially, please make sure disable "SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure" feature and "SharePoint Server Publishing" feature with the instructions HERE

Next one, you have to navigating to Site Settings page >> click on (Look and Feel) Navigation Elements.

Then Un-check "Enable Quick Launch" option and Save

I have deactivated both things you said:

But I still see in the home page of the main site in sharepoint the same thing. But it change in the Site content information.

So this is what I asked in the other part:

So the thing is your test.css is downloaded in mine as test.txt, should I change the code.txt part form /test.css to /test.txt?

Like I am still getting the same left part in the main page, and changed already the sharepoint desginer too.

Don't know what to do now, you tell me I wait for your opinion.

Based on my observations and the information from the images you provided, I think the root cause why you get this behavior is because the file you uploaded was saved as test.txt while your master page (or CssRegistration entry) is referencing test.css.

Browsers and SharePoint both rely on the file extension to determine the MIME type. When a stylesheet is stored as .txt, SharePoint serves it as text/plain, and modern browsers will not load or apply it as CSS.

So, even if the reference in the master page points to /test.css, the underlying file remains .txt and won’t be interpreted as a stylesheet. This causes the CSS rules for hiding sideNavBox, ms-core-navigation, or DeltaPlaceHolderLeftNavBar to never load, so the Quick Launch remains visible.

Additionally, if you edited Seattle.html in SharePoint Designer, the updated master page must be checked in, published, and approved before the changes propagate to all pages. If the site is using a mixture of classic and modern pages, remember that custom CSS is ignored entirely on modern pages.

You can resolve the issue successfully using the following approach:

Rename the file to a real CSS file Replace the uploaded test.txt with a proper test.css file in Site Assets. This ensures SharePoint serves it as text/css, allowing the browser to apply your custom styles.

Update the reference and republish the master page (if used) If you added a <SharePoint:CssRegistration> or <link> reference in Seattle.html, confirm it matches exactly: /SiteAssets/test.css Then check in, publish, and approve the master page so the updated version becomes active across the site.

Use Alternate CSS URL as a safer site-wide method Instead of injecting CSS through the master page, you can apply your stylesheet site-wide by going to: Site Settings → Master Page → Alternate CSS URL and selecting your newly uploaded test.css. This method avoids master page modifications and is easier to maintain for classic sites.

Would be possible to post some screenshots of where to go or how to do them actions? I am losing in some instructions you are giving me.

I don't know why I don't get the link of the site in blue as it should (I guess).

I changed it, should I add the rest of the link?

Like is missing "/Forms" there, allItems I think I don't need it because I am looking for the test.css
