I was asked to cancel my current 365 Personal subscription to be able to re-subscribe to 365 Personal Classic. I canceled (still valid until February 2026), but didn't find the option to do the classic subscription. I need help on this.

To switch from Microsoft 365 Personal to Microsoft 365 Personal Classic, you generally need to cancel your current subscription and then subscribe to the desired version. Since you've already canceled your subscription, you should check if the option to subscribe to Microsoft 365 Personal Classic is available in your Microsoft account.

If you do not see the option to subscribe to Microsoft 365 Personal Classic, it may be due to availability in your region or specific account settings. You can try the following steps:

    1. Sign in to your Microsoft account.
    2. Go to the Subscriptions section to check available plans.
    3. If you still cannot find the option, consider contacting Microsoft Support for assistance in subscribing to the Classic version.

Make sure to check if there are any specific eligibility requirements or limitations regarding the Classic subscription.

Done that already, but no option for the Classic shows up.

Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

You should not have cancelled your subscription at this stage. The workaround to get the Classic plan usually requires waiting until the current subscription that ends in February (in your case), and then cancelling at that time. This is when the Classic option may appear.

In countries that support prorated refunds for Microsoft subscriptions, you are eligible to receive a prorated refund when you cancel a subscription that was purchased directly from Microsoft. This means that Microsoft will refund the unused portion of your subscription based on your country’s refund policy. See,

In this situation, here's what you can do:

    1. Buy a monthly Office 365 personal Subscription from the Microsoft Store online.
    2. Then, go to your account > Services & Subscriptions page > locate your subscription > Click Manage > Cancel subscription.
    3. You can switch to Personal 365 Classic. (You can then convert it to yearly plan)
