Why did the updated Outlook not accept my contacts

The new updated Outlook did not convert my contacts on MacOS Sequoia. I had to go back to legacy to view contacts. What is the correction for thsis?

    You’re right to ask. The “new Outlook for Mac” does not yet show full contact lists or groups in the side-pane the way legacy Outlook did. You can still view or search individual contacts from the People/Contacts view.

    Could you check whether your contacts were stored under “On My Computer” or synced with an online account (like Exchange or Microsoft 365)?
