Microsoft Edge PDF editor textbox zooms in a crops text when editing text

We will annotate PDFs with textboxes and when opening a textbox to amend the text when deselecting the textbox the text is then zoomed in and cropped. When entering the textbox again it says that the text is the same size as before, however every time the text box is selected and deselected it zooms in further.

Edge issue - before photo.png

Photo after clicking text box once:

Edge issue - after photo.png

Photo after clicking text box twice:

I have tried amending the flags per the following comments on another post without success:

Type edge://flags in the address bar and press Enter. Search for the edge-new-pdf-viewer flag, then set it to Disabled. You'll be prompted to restart the browser

Edge is on the most recent version. The issue has only arisen as of today 08/12/2025 and was functioning up to 05/12/2025.

Has anyone come across this?

    Hi,

This appears to be a bug, as other users have reported the same issue. Since you’ve already disabled edge-new-pdf-viewer and it didn’t resolve the problem, the best step for now is to report it by pressing Alt + Shift + I. There aren’t any other workarounds at the moment for the stable version, but you can consider checking Edge Beta or Canary to see if the problem is fixed in those versions of Edge as a temporary workaround.
