Do I need to install a new power shell?

Actually I have not a clue as to why it has come up on my screen and dont even know what a power shell is

    What were you doing when it appeared on your screen ? Sometimes, it can be used by software developers to automatize long and repetitive tasks. Is anything written in PowerShell ?
