It sounds like you are experiencing a common issue with tech support scams that use pop-up messages to create a sense of urgency. These messages often claim that there is a critical virus alert and prompt you to renew a subscription for security software that you may not even have installed.

Here are some steps you can take to address this situation:

    1. Do Not Engage: Do not click on any links or call any numbers provided in these pop-ups. They are likely scams.
    2. Close the Pop-ups: If the pop-ups are persistent, try closing your browser or restarting your computer. You can also use Task Manager to end the browser process if it becomes unresponsive.
    3. Use Microsoft Edge: Consider using Microsoft Edge, as it has built-in features to block known scam sites and can help prevent these types of pop-ups from appearing.
    4. Run a Full Scan: Use Microsoft Defender Antivirus to run a full scan of your system to ensure that there is no malware present. Make sure your antivirus software is up to date.
    5. Monitor Your Device: Keep an eye on your device for any unusual behavior and consider resetting it to factory settings if you suspect it has been compromised.
    6. Report the Scam: You can report any tech support scams to Microsoft to help them combat these issues.

By following these steps, you can protect yourself from potential scams and ensure your device remains secure.

    Hello

    Is this MacOS or Windows?

If it is Windows, what browsers do you use?

For example, if you use Edge,

copy and paste this into address bar in Edge:

    edge://settings/privacy/sitePermissions/allPermissions/notifications

Make sure all notifications are turned off.

See if that helps. Similarily you can do the same for Chrome.
