If the Import/Export menu items are grayed out in the New Outlook for Mac, it may be due to the limitations of the application. The New Outlook for Mac does not currently support importing .olm files directly. Instead, you may need to use the older version of Outlook for Mac that supports .olm file imports or consider using Outlook Web App for accessing your archived emails.

To work around this issue, you can try the following steps:

    1. Install the older version of Outlook for Mac if available.
    2. Use the older version to import your .olm files.
    3. If you have access to Outlook Web App, you can upload your archived emails there and access them from the New Outlook for Mac.

Make sure to check for any updates or changes in the New Outlook for Mac that may introduce support for .olm files in the future.
