    Dear @Abrar Fardin Ashfe,

Good day. Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum!

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you’ve experienced. I truly appreciate your patience during this time and thank you for bearing with us.

As per your description, I have tested it on my end and cannot reproduce the same error.

For better assist, please kindly let me know some information:

    • Does this issue occur with other Office desktop apps, such as Word?
    • Your version of Office (e.g., Office 365, 2021)?
    • Does this issue happen on One Note desktop, web or both?
    • Is the issue occurring with one specific file shared by one particular person, or does it affect all shared files, making them impossible to view and edit?
    • Please also ask this specific user to share the notebook to other users in your organization to see if they can reproduce the same result as yours.
    • What permission is your colleague currently adjusting for the file they shared with me? Where is that file stored?

In the meantime, please kindly try the troubleshooting steps below:

    1.Update OneNote:

If you're using the Office version: open any Office app and navigate to File > Account > Update Options > Update Now. If you're using the Microsoft Store version (UWP), please open the Microsoft Store, go to Library, and click Get Updates

2.Clear Cache: Please try clearing your OneNote cache. You can do this by:

    • Close OneNote.
    • Open File Explorer and go to:

    Untitled

    • Delete folders named 16.0, 15.0, etc., depending on your version.

3.Sign out and sign in OneNote

    4.Uninstall and then reinstall OneNote
