Dear Heather McCalla
Thank you for reaching out to the Q&A forum.
Could you please clarify what you mean by “I’ve tried everything”? It would be helpful to know the specific steps you’ve already taken so we can avoid repeating them. For example, have you tried the following steps?
- Unblock the file: Right-click the file > Properties > click Unblock if available.
-
- Macro settings: In Trust Center, set macros to Enable macros or Disable all macros with notification.
- Add a Trusted Location: Add the folder where your file is stored as a trusted location in Trust Center Settings.
When you say “it’s all gone,” do you see a blank gray screen, or do you still see tables on the left but they are empty? Please also try these:
- Open Access in Safe Mode by pressing the Windows logo key + R, typing msaccess /safe, and pressing Enter. Then open your file in this mode.
- Open the file, then go to File > Info > Compact & Repair Database to run the repair process and check if it resolves the issue.
Could you provide a screenshot of what you see? Please send it via private message so I can better understand the issue. You might also find this thread helpful: I want to unblock my Microsoft Access File
Looking forward to your response so I can assist you further. Please understand that our initial reply may not always immediately resolve the issue. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.
