I am using Office 365 for Mac on a MacMini. Messages into Outlook come through Gmail. For a time, deleted messages keep reappearing, sometimes more than once. How do I fix?

If you are experiencing issues with deleted messages reappearing in Outlook for Mac while using Gmail, it may be related to how the email is being handled between Gmail and Outlook. Here are some potential solutions to consider:

    1. Check Gmail Settings: Ensure that your Gmail settings are configured correctly. Sometimes, Gmail's settings for IMAP can cause issues with how messages are deleted and synchronized with Outlook.
    2. IMAP Configuration: Make sure that IMAP is enabled in your Gmail account. You can do this by going to your Gmail settings, selecting the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab, and ensuring that IMAP is enabled.
    3. Outlook Synchronization: Sometimes, Outlook may not synchronize properly with Gmail. Try removing and re-adding your Gmail account in Outlook to refresh the connection.
    4. Recoverable Items Folder: If messages are being soft-deleted, they may be moved to the Recoverable Items folder. You can check this folder to see if the messages are there and recover them if necessary.
    5. Check for Duplicates: If you are using any third-party applications or add-ins that interact with your email, they may be causing duplicates or issues with deleted messages. Consider disabling these temporarily to see if the problem persists.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may want to reach out to Microsoft Support for further assistance.
