I am not able to add my children to my Microsoft365 family account. It keeps saying "This account cannot give parental consent" which is weird because my account is the Parent / Administrator of the family group.

I have tried signing in directly to approve, with no success.

Tried by sending an email to myself from my child's account still with same error. 01 Screenshot 2025-12-06 200806

Hi! From the first screenshot, it looks like the account hasn’t accepted the Microsoft Family invitation yet. Was this account added to your Microsoft family group as a member or as an organizer?

Please sign in to the Microsoft Family website and share a screenshot of how it looks, making sure to hide or blur any personal information.

I think I have found the answer.

The problem was that my account (Parent) had a different Region / Country from that of the children.

Therefore MS blocked me from being able to give consent for their accounts.

Immediately I changed my Country / Region to match theirs, the authorization went through.

    Query self-diagnosed.

    Closing it.
