I have a trail camera requires IP address for SMTP server to sent images, does not seem to accept smtp-mail.outlook.com

    Thanks for reaching out. The SMTP server smtp-mail.outlook.com doesn’t have a single fixed IP address because Microsoft uses multiple IPs for load balancing and reliability. These IPs can change over time, so hardcoding one is not recommended.

    If your trail camera only accepts an IP, you can resolve the current IP using a DNS lookup. For example, on Windows:

    nslookup smtp-mail.outlook.com

    This will return one or more IP addresses currently associated with that hostname. Keep in mind these may change, so the camera might stop working later.
