Based on the information you provided, I am truly sorry to hear that you were "kicked off" right after entering the purchase code and starting the registration, which indicates that the activation process was incomplete.
Based on my research, when a user enters the Product Key for Microsoft 365 Business, the Microsoft system should automatically send an email with instructions to complete the account and password setup (Set up Account).
Please kindly check all your email inboxes one more time, including:
- The Primary Inbox.
- The Spam/Junk Mail folder.
- The Other/Promotions folders.
If you find this email, it should contain the login information or the activation link/code that was sent to you.
However, if you are still unable to find the Microsoft setup email and your goal is to obtain a refund, you will need to contact Best Buy where you purchased the Microsoft 365 Business package.
Please be prepared with the following:
- The purchase invoice or receipt.
- Any evidence that the account remains inactivated, but you are unable to access the account setup process.
Important Note: If your Office 365 subscription is managed through a federated partner or reseller, please contact the reseller’s support team. They can assist in initiating the request and coordinating with Microsoft Support.
