Hello Britt F. Ward, welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

You can find out your device's age based on the warranty start date. To check this:

    1. Go to account.microsoft.com/devices and sign in with your Microsoft account.
    2. If your Surface is already registered, select it and choose Info & support.
    3. Under Device coverage, you’ll see the warranty start and end dates.
    4. If the device isn’t listed, click Register device, enter the serial number and your region. Once registered, the coverage dates will appear.

These dates give you a good idea of when the device was manufactured and registered.

That said, Surface Laptop 2 was released in October 2018, so it's reasonable to assume your device is roughly 6–7 years old as of 2025.
