To recover your Microsoft 365 access PIN on your new computer, you can follow these general steps:

    1. Sign in Options: If you have an alternate sign-in method available, navigate to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options on your Windows device.
    2. Forgot PIN: Select PIN (Windows Hello) > I forgot my PIN and follow the prompts to reset it.
    3. Lock Screen: If you don’t have an alternate sign-in method, you can initiate the PIN reset from the Windows lock screen by selecting the I forgot my PIN option and following the instructions provided.
    4. Authentication: You will need to authenticate your identity, which may include multifactor authentication to complete the PIN reset.

After successfully resetting your PIN, you will be able to access Microsoft 365 on your new computer using the new PIN.

    Hi Phil,

Thank you for reaching out. I get why this feels confusing when setting up a new computer. The PIN you’re being asked for isn’t tied to Microsoft 365 itself. It’s usually the Windows Hello PIN linked to your Microsoft account on the old device. Since the new computer doesn’t have that yet, you’ll need to set up a fresh PIN.

Here’s what you can do, sign in with your Microsoft account credentials first, then go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options and create a new PIN.

If you’re stuck at the sign-in screen, choose “I forgot my PIN” and follow the prompts to reset it.

\Are you able to log in with your Microsoft account password, or is the PIN the only option showing?

    Regards,

    Rez
