Microsoft OneNote on Android won't copy and paste

OneNote had been great for years. Then Copy and Paste stopped working. I tried every fix I could find to no avail. Then I discovered the version I hadn't recently updated on my tablet still worked, 16.0.19127.20224 from September. I installed this older version on my phone, and everything is working again. I think the later updates must have had a change in the code that broke it. It acted like it worked until you opened another app to paste the data which did nothing. I ended up using a different notes app for a while. I also use Swiftkey. This is on an LG V60 running Android 13. Could you please fix the newer versions so I can keep the app up to date? Thanks.

    Hello Lelnd,

Thanks for reaching out. The OneNote copy-paste issue on Android is known issue. It started in recent updates; version 16.0.19127.20224 works, but newer ones don't. The problem occurs when pasting from OneNote to another app. It seems copied but doesn't paste. This is probably due to changed clipboard code. No fix is available yet. Use the older version as a temporary solution. Download it from Uptodown if needed. speed up a fix by reporting it within the OneNote app by going to Settings >Help > Feedback >Send Feedback or you can report it through the Microsoft Feedback Hub on Windows or via their support page.

Do you need a safe link for the old version or steps to stop updates?

It sounds like you're experiencing issues with the copy and paste functionality in Microsoft OneNote on your Android device, particularly after updating to newer versions. Unfortunately, the context provided does not contain specific information about troubleshooting or fixing issues related to OneNote's copy and paste functionality on Android devices.

For now, continuing to use the older version that works for you might be the best temporary solution until a fix is released in future updates. You may also want to report this issue to Microsoft support so they can investigate and address it in their updates.
