This question was also posted and locked in June 2025. I attemped to follow those instructions to open the "view" tab on Outlook calendar and click the "to-do" button on this tab, but the "to-do" button does not appear on my interface. I would like to be able to pull up a to-do list for each day on the right side of the calendar like I have in the past, but cannot figure out how to re-enable it.

Hi, I understand how much easier it is to manage tasks when they’re right next to your calendar.

The reason you’re not seeing the To-Do Bar option is that Microsoft removed this feature in the new Outlook interface, it’s no longer part of the View tab. Instead, they introduced the “My Day” pane, which gives you similar functionality but in a different spot.

    Here’s what you can try:

Look for the calendar and checkmark icon in the top-right corner of Outlook, click it, and you’ll see your tasks and calendar side by side.

If you prefer the old layout, you’d need to switch back to Classic Outlook if that option is available in your app.

Can you confirm if you see the “Try the new Outlook” toggle or if your ribbon looks simplified?

That will help me guide you on the next steps.

    Regards,
    Aron

To make the To-Do Bar appear on the right side of your Outlook calendar, you can follow these steps:

    1. Check if the To-Do Bar is enabled:
      • Go to the View tab in the Outlook ribbon.
      • Look for the To-Do Bar option. If it is not visible, it may be disabled.
    2. Enable the To-Do Bar:
      • Click on the View tab.
      • In the Layout group, you should see the To-Do Bar button. If it is not appearing, ensure that your Outlook is updated and that you are not in a mode that restricts this feature.
      • Click on To-Do Bar and select Normal to enable it.
    3. Adjust your Outlook settings:
      • If the To-Do Bar still does not appear, check your Outlook options to ensure that there are no settings preventing it from being displayed.
      • You may also want to restart Outlook after making changes to see if that resolves the issue.

If these steps do not resolve the problem, it could be related to your specific version of Outlook or settings configured by your organization, especially if Group Policies are in place that restrict certain features.

If so, then this is due to a recent change by Microsoft to the New Outlook Calendar. You are not alone. Many other people want this feature back.
