ok so when I signed up for one drive. and gave you access to my files. never in a million years did I think that "BACKUP YOUR FILES" Meant you are going to reorganize all my files and take my files that I created. off my computer. then when I ask for my legal files back because I get tired of one drive constantly running in the background. you dont........... i never asked you to manage the storage of my computer. i said back up certain hard drives for pictures. so now I have copies of all my photos and out of space on my C drive and i will have to go through one by one and delete the photos. and files you made copies of.

fuck one drive,.

It sounds like you're experiencing frustration with how OneDrive is managing your files and storage. OneDrive is designed to back up and sync files across devices, but it can sometimes lead to confusion regarding file organization and storage management.

Here are some points to consider:

    • File Management: OneDrive does not automatically reorganize your files, but it syncs the files you choose to store in it. If you have set it to back up certain folders, it may have created copies of those files in the cloud, which can lead to storage issues on your local drive.
    • Storage Space: If you're running out of space on your C drive, you can manage your OneDrive settings. You can choose which folders to sync or keep on your device, allowing you to free up space. You can also use the "Files On-Demand" feature to see your files without downloading them all to your device.
    • Accessing Files: If you need to access your legal files or any other documents, you should be able to do so from the OneDrive web interface, even if they are not stored locally on your device.
    • Deleting Files: To manage your storage, you can go through your OneDrive and delete duplicates or files you no longer need. This can be done through the OneDrive app or the web interface.

If you continue to have issues or need specific guidance on managing your OneDrive settings, consider checking the support documentation or reaching out to Microsoft support for assistance.

    Hi JS,

Please follow the steps below to restore the files to a local-only state.

Click the OneDrive icon on the Taskbar, click the gear icon>Settings>Back Up tab. Uncheck each of the entries for documents, Desktop, etc. if asked, choose Local only files.

Once it is done, click the Sign out or Unlink this PC option on the same tab.

This should take care of the issue.
