I want to have my C drive available on my taskbar but I need to get it there, which may involve creating a shortcut. Any ideas?

To have your C drive easily accessible on the taskbar, you can create a shortcut and pin it. Here’s how to do it:

    1. Create a Shortcut:
      • Right-click on your desktop or in File Explorer.
      • Choose New > Shortcut.
      • In the location box, enter C:\ and click Next.
      • Name the shortcut (e.g., "C Drive") and click Finish.
    2. Pin the Shortcut to the Taskbar:
      • Find the shortcut you just created on your desktop.
      • Right-click on the shortcut and select Pin to taskbar.

After completing these steps, the C drive icon will appear on your taskbar for quick access.

    Hi,

Do you have Windows 11? If so, you can pin your Drive C to your taskbar by doing the following:

    • Right-click on your Drive C > Show more options > Create a shortcut
    • Select Yes when it prompts you to create a desktop shortcut
    • Select the shortcut on your desktop then drag and drop it to your taskbar to create a link
