ms 365 does not work

I recently bought and paid for MS word standard 2024 £29.99 and also Ms 365 £84.95. Neither of them work on my Mac computer. The one costing will NOT install. The one costing £84.95 does not work. All I get when I go to word is a page which invites me to try on month free???

    Hi clifford berragan,

    Good Day. I'm Jhun an independent advisor. In regards with your Micorsoft Office issue, let's try to do these steps and see if it will fix the issue.

    A. Check Microsoft Account.

    1. Make sure you login to the Microsoft Account you used when you purchase the MS Office standard and MS 365.
    2. Go to office.com/services or account.microsoft.com/services. Verify there which license are associated with your account.

    B. Uninstall All Office Versions. Completely uninstall any Office apps on your Mac, to remove conflicts. Also remove any leftover license files if possible . See the links below from Microsoft Support.

    C. Redeem the Product Key for Office 2024 Standard.

    1. If you have a product key from your purchase, go to office.com/setup, sign in and redeem it.

    2. this associates that one-time license with your Microsoft Account.

    D. Download and Reinstall MS Office

    1. After redeemed, download Office from your Microsoft account via official site. See: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/download-install-or-reinstall-microsoft-365-or-office-2024-on-a-pc-or-mac-4414eaaf-0478-48be-9c42-23adc4716658.
    2. While installing, you may need to install the serializer (or any activation tool your license requires). It depends on the particular "Standard 2024" license you bought.

    E. Activate Office.

    1. Once the installation is done, open any Office app like Word, Excel.
    2. A prompt to Sig-in / enter a product key should appear. Follow the activation instructions for your type of license.
    3. For MS Office 365, sign in to the Microsoft account with the subscription.
    4. For Office 2024 (non subscription) an option to enter the product key or use the serializer should appear. If not, look for a key icon or alternate activation procedure.

    F. Verify Activation.

    1. Open any Office App (Word, Excel) go to About or Account under Word Menu > About or Word > Preferences > Account. From there check the license status.

    G. Contact Microsoft Support. If steps above doesn't work contact Microsoft support since you paid for licenses. Prepare your details like, Microsoft account / email, receipts or proof of purchase, product key and necessary screenshots.
