AI foundry agents stopped searching the knowledge base (AI search)

My team is working on a small project with an AI agent and AI search as knowledge source. It was working relatively well. The agent was searching and getting results.

I noticed yesterday that it just stopped using the knowledge source. I don't know exactly when it started, but even older test agents which were working all of a sudden just stopped searching the knowledge and instead started hallucinating results.

Any recent change in behavior? How to "force" the agent to run a search? Thanks
