    Hello Labhart Christian,

Thank you for your question. In Remote Desktop Connection Manager (RDCMan) v3.11, the “Recent” built-in group is designed to automatically list servers you’ve recently connected to. If it’s not displaying any entries, this may be due to one of the following:

    • No recent connections have been made since the application was launched or the list was cleared.
    • The RDCMan.config file may be corrupted or missing write permissions, preventing recent items from being saved.
    • If RDCMan is running with elevated privileges, but previous sessions were not, the recent list may not persist across contexts.

To resolve this, try launching RDCMan as the same user context consistently and ensure the config file is not set to read-only. You can also manually verify the config file under %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Remote Desktop Connection Manager.

If this helps clarify the issue, please click “Accept Answer” so others can benefit as well.

    Thank you so much!!!

    Best regards,

    QQ.

    Hello

Thank you for the quick reply

    I have:

    • deleted the %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Remote Desktop Connection Manager directory
    • deleted all RDCMan entries in the registry
    • created a new rdg file
    • re-downloaded RDCMan.exe
    • rebootet

New connections are still not showing up in the Recent folder

OS: Windows 10 Enterprise Edition Version 22H2 Build 19045.6456

Any further suggestions for resolving this issue?

    Best regards

    cl
