What’s happening is your account got temporarily locked because of too many incorrect password attempts, and even after resetting, the system still sees repeated sign-in tries, which keeps the lock active.
The best first step is to stop any login attempts for at least 24 hours to let the lock clear completely.
After that, try signing in from a different browser or device and make sure you’re using the latest password you set.
If that still doesn’t work, go to the Microsoft account recovery page and fill out the form with as much detail as possible.
Do you still have access to your recovery email or phone number linked to the account?
And have you noticed any security alerts or unusual activity before this happened?
